From Counting Steps to Changing Chemistry

Fitness trackers provided us with a decade of external information. We could track our heart rates, sleep patterns, and calories. This information was helpful as it gave us an idea of the results of our bodily functions. But it did not directly measure the processes occurring within our bodies.
